Trail Walk - Mill History (Sat. 11 May, 2013 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm)

A guided walk on the Tommy Thompson Trail leaving from the intersection of the trail with 34th Street in Anacortes. 

Subject:  Working Waterfront - Anacortes Mill History

Docents:  Betty Carteret, Gerri Gunn, Mike Mohundro

Join us to learn more about the history of logging in Skagit County, log boom operations in Fidalgo Bay, and the mills that operated along the shoreline focusing on the plywood mill site at 34th Street.

Trail Walk - Native & Introduced Plants (Wed. 15 May, 2013 10:00 am - 12:00 pm)

Join us for a walk on the Tommy Thompson Trail to learn about the native and introduced plants that are common along the trail.  You'll have the opportunity to learn about the plants, their life stories, and cultural uses.

Meet at the TT Trail crossing at the Fidalgo RV Park.
